A Free Educational Resource for 1st Year Medical Students

MockDocs.org was founded by medical students at the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine. We feel that student collaboration is important for fostering a supporting and successful environment during medical school. This site contains numerous resources made by medical students including a student made question bank, video lectures, an Anki-how to, and more.

The student made question bank is one of the most valuable resources on this site. It consists of over 2700 FREE questions. Practice questions can allow for a deeper understanding of difficult concepts and help you to prepare for exams. Additionally, taking practice exams is a great way to see if and where a student may have a gap in their knowledge base. Thus, student made practice exams not only help the student volunteers making the questions, but they are also an important resource for peers to test their knowledge before high stakes exams. This website was created in order to make this content more widely available to ARCOM students in addition to students from other institutions.

Please keep in mind that these exams and all other resources associated with it were done by OMS students on their own time, with only minimal advice given by faculty. None of the following questions were given to the contributors by upperclassmen or professors. As such, these exams should not be used as a definitive study guide, nor should your results be seen as an accurate predictor of your performance in your medical school courses. What we hope to accomplish with these materials is to give our fellow students our personal perspectives on what we, with our best judgment, consider to be high-yield, testable material. Please take this into consideration when using these materials.

A Stepping Stone to Board Questions

While there are a variety of time-proven question banks for USMLE Step 1 and COMLEX Level 1 preparation, many first year medical students find these questions too advanced to answer with the knowledge they’ve acquired. Board questions focus mainly on pharmacology and pathology and, depending on your school’s curriculum, this may not be things you’re learning until your 2nd year of school. Our question bank, complete with over 2700 unique questions, is meant to be a stepping stone to more advanced board prep questions.

Goals for 2020-2021 School Year

  • Increase usability of the MockDocs Question Bank
  • Focus on accuracy of questions along with providing in-depth explanations
